Terms & Conditions
Version 1.0
Effective Date: July 2026 | Last Updated: July 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, orders and services provided by The Ultimate Worktop. By accepting a quotation or placing an order, the Customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of pricing.
- Any changes to the specification, material, measurements or scope of works may result in a revised quotation.
- Only the items detailed within the quotation are included.
2. Orders & Payment
- A quotation is accepted once written confirmation has been received and any required deposit has been paid.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a 50% deposit is required before templating is arranged.
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of the agreed service.
- A five (5) day grace period is allowed before an invoice is considered overdue.
- The Ultimate Worktop reserves the right to amend the required deposit percentage where there is a history of late payment, non-payment or other payment-related concerns. Any revised payment terms will be confirmed before work commences.
- Overdue invoices may incur statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law.
- Future work may be suspended until all outstanding balances have been paid.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that:
- Cabinets are fully installed, level and secure before templating.
- All required sinks, taps, appliances and fixtures are available where necessary.
- Safe and reasonable access is available for templating, delivery and installation.
- The work area is clean and ready for the agreed appointment.
- Any parking restrictions, permits or charges required to access the property are arranged by the Customer.
If the site is not ready upon arrival, additional charges may apply for aborted or return visits.
4. Existing Worktop Removal
Existing worktops must be removed before the agreed installation date unless The Ultimate Worktop has agreed in writing to carry out their removal and disposal for an additional charge.
If we arrive and existing worktops remain in place where no such agreement has been made, the installation cannot proceed. A return visit will be required, and additional charges will apply.
5. Templating, Fabrication & Installation
- Templating will only be carried out once the required deposit has been received and the site is ready.
- Measurements taken during templating will be used to manufacture your worktops.
- Once fabrication has commenced, changes to dimensions, materials, edge profiles, cut-outs or other specifications may not be possible. Where changes are accommodated, additional charges may apply.
- Installation is included as part of the complete service provided by The Ultimate Worktop.
- Any dates provided by The Ultimate Worktop are estimates only and may change due to site readiness, material availability or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
6. Materials
- Natural variations in colour, shade, veining and pattern are inherent characteristics of stone products.
- Samples, showroom displays and marketing images are representative only and cannot guarantee an exact match to the finished product.
- The positioning of veining, joins and patterns is determined during fabrication and cannot always be matched to customer expectations or sample images.
- Minor variations do not constitute defects.
7. Completion
- Upon completion of the agreed service, the Customer or their authorised representative will be asked to inspect the finished work and sign to confirm that it has been completed to their satisfaction.
- If no one is available to inspect and sign upon completion, the work will be deemed accepted unless The Ultimate Worktop is notified of any genuine defect within a reasonable time after completion.
- In the unlikely event that a genuine defect relating to the templating, fabrication or installation service becomes apparent after completion, The Ultimate Worktop should be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Where the defect is determined to be our responsibility, appropriate remedial action will be arranged within a reasonable timeframe.
- This does not cover damage caused after completion, including impact damage, misuse, excessive heat, incorrect cleaning, alterations by third parties or normal wear and tear.
8. Cancellations & Delays
- Orders may be cancelled by notifying The Ultimate Worktop in writing.
- Deposits become non-refundable once templating has taken place.
- Once fabrication has commenced, materials have been cut specifically for the Customer's order. Cancellation remains possible; however, no refund will be due for any payments already made.
- The Ultimate Worktop shall not be responsible for delays caused by customer changes, site readiness, supplier delays, material availability, adverse weather or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
9. Warranty & Liability
- Ownership of all goods remains with The Ultimate Worktop until full payment has been received.
- Customers should refer to the separate Warranty and Care & Maintenance Guide, which form part of these Terms & Conditions.
- The Ultimate Worktop shall not be liable for damage caused after completion by third parties, misuse, impact damage, excessive heat, incorrect cleaning methods or normal wear and tear.
- Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. General
- The Ultimate Worktop reserves the right to photograph completed installations for its portfolio and marketing unless the Customer requests otherwise in writing before installation.
- These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
